The Pandara community is a transformation of agricultural people. They have unique expertise and transparency in producing various types of vegetable crops in gardens and orchards. Earning a livelihood through vegetable farming is a hallmark of the Pandara community.

In local language, this community is called "Padaria," which over time evolved into "Pandaria" and then "Pandara" — a natural phonetic evolution through generations of oral tradition.

The community's passion for living dignified lives with limited resources has established the Pandara people as a refined, culture-loving, and art-oriented community.

By preserving Odisha's folk songs and theatre, the Pandara community has gained mastery in traditional art forms like Ramleela, Radha Premleela, Jodishankha music, Mridanga drumming, and Ranapa dance — keeping ancient traditions alive for future generations.
